Overall, I had a really lovely stay and would happily return.
Positive: I had a great stay at Cactus Rose Villa. It’s a lovely apartment in a fantastic location, with easy check-in and a really calm, relaxed feel. The apartment and pool area are beautifully secluded and private, and I felt completely undisturbed throughout my stay.

The decor is gorgeous and thoughtfully done, and the facilities were excellent. There was genuinely nothing missing, which made it feel very comfortable and easy to settle into.

Street parking was readily available right out the front and never an issue. Just worth noting that it’s an upstairs apartment, so you’ll need to be comfortable carrying luggage up and down stairs.
Negative: The only small downside for me was that one of the bedroom windows doesn’t have glass, just shutters and a fly screen, so there was some traffic and general neighbour noise at night. That said, it didn’t take away from an otherwise excellent experience.

The location was a real highlight—close to both Bangalow and Byron Bay, which made it super central and convenient while still feeling peaceful. We had a fantastic stay at this Beautiful Property for the Australia Day Long Weekend, everything was exactly as described and shown in photos, Extremely Clean and what can i say about the location? what a peaceful, private and Heavenly place. We fell in love with this classic Aussie farmhouse that had been beautifully renovated with big comfy beds and an awesome kitchen and living room. The kids loved visiting the cows every morning. Close enough to Byron that we could go to dinner and the beach, and explore Brunswick Heads which was only 12 minutes away. Would happily come again.

We liked it so much we extended our stay. Beautiful rolling hills around you, birdsong and cows mooing, gorgeous sunsets. We fell in love with this beautifully restored old Aussie farmhouse with plenty of space for everyone, comfy beds, and a super comfortable living room with giant TV, plust great kitchen for entertaining. We built a fire in the BBQ one night and made steaks. The air con makes it that much more comfortable than other homes in the area. Hosts were very helpful when we reached out.

What an amazing place. We had a small family gathering at this lovely home. We all wanted to move in. The location is fantastic. Walked to the beach a few times and walked to Shawsy. So peaceful. So many table tennis games played and the pool also got a workout. They thought of everything in designing this home. The back deck was our favourite. Thank you for having us. Incredibly beautiful stay! Stayed with a group of girlfriends to celebrate my 30th and we all felt like we were at a retreat. It was the perfect size and pleasantly sound proof for sleeping babies (bonus!). Included some very helpful additions like steam iron, kitchen appliances, enough pool towels for all guests, and serving ware for our dinner party. Overall it was a fabulous experience here and I’d absolutely come back for my next retreat!

This house is magical. Every window has the most incredible views of nature. The property feels remote and private but is 5 minutes from eveything you need and 20 minutes from Byron Bay. The swimming pool is incredible, the water was warm, the views from the pool are divine. The house layout is perfection with the bedrooms separated from the main entertaining space. The kitchen, dining and outdoors are so big and spacious, again all with grand views. We did not want to leave this house. The Kalio team were super responsive, kind and got things done when we needed assistance. This house is really special - thanks for hosting us x

This property is simply breathtaking. Three generations of my family stayed here over the New Year period in 2026 and it was exceptional. The house was perfectly stocked with everything we needed and more, and there was so much to do on the property, whether it was floating in the creek, working out in the gym, relaxing by the pool, ball games in the sprawling yard, or taking in the sweeping views of the Valley from the deck. The gorgeous tree in the middle of the property was absolutely mesmerising and brought the stunning landscape to life. The hosts were excellent to deal with as well. We did not want to leave and will never forget our time here. We hope to be back again soon!

Our stay at Oluka Vista in Wilson Creek was absolutely incredible. The house was immaculately clean and beautifully presented, making us feel at home the moment we arrived. The house was great and perfect for a family stay with a room with bunk beds for kids. One of the bedrooms was connected to another one but with still another door connecting it to the deck which is ok.  Pool and deck area felt very relaxing. Location of the house was perfect.

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful stay in The Hill House. The pool and outdoor space was so beautiful and everything indoors was comfortable and homely. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking at home, so we stayed in most nights, but you're only just a 7 minute drive from anything you need in Mullum - restaurants, cafes, pubs, breweries etc! The Kalio team were amazing to deal with, thank you Billy for everything!

We had a great time at the hill house for an extended weekend getaway. Peaceful location within an hour from the GC but felt secluded from the rest of the world. We had everything in the house, especially loved the pool area and the trampoline, very thoughtfully designed home. Exactly the family trip we needed.

Our stay here was honestly perfect. The apartment was beautiful and looked exactly like the photos. The location couldn’t have been better. It was right in the heart of everything with walking distance to absolutely everything we needed. There’s even a lovely organic grocery store directly across the road, which made our mornings super easy. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to cook breakfast each day and the hosts even left a complimentary bottle of champagne, which my partner and I really appreciated. The place felt like a home away from home and I could easily imagine living there. We had an amazing stay and it was exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Bailen Byron with Kalio Concierge and it was incredible. The house is beautiful, spacious, styled to perfection, and even better than the photos which really do not do it justice. We were pleasantly surprised by how roomy it is, with plenty of little nooks to unwind in or spend time together. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, with luxurious linen and beds that made every night a dream sleep. The pool and sauna were highlights, and we loved evenings by the fire pit under the stars. The big grass area was perfect for the kids to run around while we relaxed. Kalio Concierge was amazing, everything was handled seamlessly and it made the whole stay effortless. It honestly felt like a five star hotel, but with the comfort and privacy of a home. We left already planning the next trip back!

The Hill house is beyond! Like an Italian villa in the middle of the Byron hinterland. Honestly it was one of the most spectacular and unique houses I’ve ever been to. It’s private and secluded but also so close to the more local towns of Mullumbimby and Brunswick Heads. The house also had a great layout for travelling with extended family. We each had our own floor in the”bedroom wing”. So was essentially like two private apartments. But with spacious and shared living areas. The kids ran around all day between the pool and trampoline underneath the frangipani trees! So special! Even when the rain set in, we didn’t get cabin fever. We lit a fire and enjoyed the spacious kitchen to cook a meal. Kids lounged around in the play area with all the toys there. Coming from the city, this home really transported us and enabled a deep relaxation. Just what we needed! Thanks for having us! Would love to return!
